Math
Double digit multiplication, exponents, decimals, fractions, and geometry are some of the topics being covered this year.

-
Daily Review: Students will work on a daily review in class which will count as a weekly classwork grade.
-
Homework: Unlike traditional homework, our homework focuses on reviewing previously taught concepts each night. By doing this, students are given the opportunity to continuously practice what they have already learned without having hours of homework and are more likely to master the skills as they continue to practice. While most of each night’s homework is review, new skills are also practiced. This homework will allow you to see exactly what your child needs to know and is currently learning throughout the school year. Please let me know if you have any further questions. I look forward to utilizing homework time for quality practice and watching students succeed this school year.

Homework grade: There will be ONE homework grade per quarter. Students will be able to earn up to 800 points per quarter (100 per week). The final grade will reflect an average of all weeks combined. Students will lose 10 points per week for every day that homework is late. This is strictly an effort grade and students will receive a 100 for showing effort and their work.
